Mother Nature is Medicine

Mother Nature is Medicine
MOTHER NATURE IS MEDICINE. The Creator has given us everything that we need. It is all here on this Earth and in the Universe. It can be found in the Earth, in the Sky, in the Waters, in the Air. Often times, we, as humans, tend to view nature as something that is "apart" from ourselves. We talk of spending time "in nature." We, in a sense, distance ourselves. In reality, we ARE "a - part" as well. The Great Spirit put us here and blessed us and our ancestors with this beautiful earth. Embracing the Creator and the natural blessings is food & nourishment for the body, mind, and soul. Nature is medicine. ~Peace and Blessings~

Shipwreck

Ever been in a shipwreck? I hope not. Ever tasted it? I hope so.

My Mom passed down this recipe to me from a friend of hers that she met in Japan and it has become one of our family favorites and is so easy to make too.

Potatoes
Ground beef
Can of green beans
Can of cream of mushroom soup
Chopped green peppers
Chopped onions
Zeus Seasoning (something we added this time)

That is all that’s in it.

Wash and peel the potatoes. Then, to decrease baking time for the casserole, I boil the potatoes till tender enough to slide a knife into it.
Slice the potatoes and place in the baking pan, covering the bottom of the pan.

Cook the ground beef with a little bit of Zeus Seasoning, chopped green peppers, and chopped onions.
Drain the ground beef and layer it evenly on top of the potatoes.

Then, I drain a can of green beans and rinse them with cool water to eliminate some of the sodium, and layer the green beans evenly on top of the ground beef.

After all that, I pour the can of cream of mushroom soup on top.

Make sure everything is layered evenly and bake covered at a temperature of 350⁰ F for about 30 minutes, then continue baking uncovered for 10-15 minutes.
